Born on the third floor of Stanford Hospital. Grew up in the redwoods. Went to school at UC Davis. Studied design. Studied art. Studied anthropology. Took a year off. Lived in Australia. Lived in Japan. Traveled. Went back to school. Joined a dance company. Performed. Choreographed. Taught. Made art about issues I cared about. Protested logging trucks in Northern California. Became a graphic designer. Lived in a 1960s airstream in Alaska. Worked in a bar. Moved to Portland. Got a job as a designer at Wieden+Kennedy advertising agency. Promoted to art director. Got married. Bought a house. Got divorced. Went to India. Came back. Climbed some mountains. Continued working at Wieden+Kennedy. Fell in love with another art director there. Went to Thailand together. Got married by 4 Buddhist monks. Returned home. Had a baby. Promoted to creative director at Wieden+Kennedy.
